Our history, mission, governance structure, and the distinguished community of retired scientists who form the backbone of this association.
The Retired Scientists' and Officers' Association (ReSOA), NPOL was formed in December 2007 to provide a platform where all retired scientists and officers can come together and help each other make their retired life more enjoyable, meaningful and productive.
All retired Scientists & Officers of NPOL are eligible for membership in this association. Officers who served in NPOL and retired from other DRDO offices are also eligible. ReSOA has 344 registered members, including Dr V. K. Aatre, former Secretary DDR&D and Scientific Advisor to Raksha Manthri, Chairman DRDO.
ReSOA is a registered body under the Travancore-Cochin Literary, Scientific and Charitable Societies Registration Act, 1955 (Act XII of 1955) and is a legally sustainable entity.

NPOL is one of India's premier defence research laboratories under the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), specializing in underwater acoustics, sonar technology, and oceanographic sciences.
Located at the NPOL SAGAR Campus, Thrikkakara, Kochi, Kerala — NPOL has been at the forefront of India's naval defence technology, developing sophisticated sonar systems and underwater surveillance technologies that protect India's maritime boundaries. ReSOA is proud to be the community of distinguished scientists and officers who built this legacy.
ReSOA is governed by an elected Executive Committee of eleven members serving a two-year term.
